My Story
Hi, I’m Aliyah! Welcome to my corner of the internet, a space where I share my journey, faith, passions and everything in between. For the last 10 years, I’ve been navigating life while growing alongside my amazing online community and I’m so excited to give you a deeper look into who I am and why I’m here.
Growing Up
I was born in South Africa and spent my childhood moving around the UK from Scotland, where I picked up (and thankfully lost!) a Scottish accent, to Birmingham and finally back to London when I was 10. Being the youngest of three, I grew up in a loving home and experienced the magic of being a 90’s kid before technology took over. I loved playing Sims, hanging out with friends in the neighbourhood and enjoying family time. Moving schools three times taught me independence and the value of solitude. With my siblings moving out early, I often felt like an only child and honestly, I loved it. London became my home base but sometimes I wonder how life would have turned out if I’d stayed in Scotland.
My 20's: Years of Lessons
Life hit me hard in my 20s. I’ve faced the highest highs and the lowest lows like moving out, marriage, miscarriages, divorce, losing friendships, starting a business then losing a business and grappling with faith. One of the most defining moments was losing my child after announcing my pregnancy publicly. It was the most heartbreaking and humbling experience of my life, teaching me resilience, faith and the importance of community. I became a voice for women experiencing pregnancy loss connecting with so many who shared similar pain. But that season wasn’t easy, I didn’t want to be defined by tragedy forever. Today, I look back with gratitude knowing God had a purpose for those experiences. If I could tell my younger self anything, it would be: grow your relationship with God early. Knowing Jesus sooner might have changed everything.
My Social Media Journey
It all started with Tumblr back in 2009-2010. I built a community of 30,000 followers, which led me to YouTube, Instagram and Twitter. I then grew to 400,000+ followers across all platforms. At first, I created content just for fun, but now I’m stepping into this space with more intention. Being authentic has always been my strength, what you see is what you get. Social media opened doors I never imagined but it also came with challenges like cancel culture and online hate. Still, I’ve learned to focus on what truly matters which is using my platform to inspire, uplift, and connect.
Relationships and Community
I’m blessed to have friends who’ve known me before “Aliyahmariabee” was even a thing. They keep me grounded, reminding me of my roots. True friendships are rare and I cherish those who have supported me through every phase of life. I also owe so much to my online community, you’ve been my virtual family, cheering me on and walking alongside me through life’s ups and downs.
Faith and Purpose
My spiritual journey has been the greatest transformation of my life. After spending five years as a Muslim and searching for Allah, I found Jesus when I moved to Dubai and my life hasn’t been the same since. He gave me peace, joy and a purpose I never imagined. Now, my mission is clear: to glorify God in all I do. Whether through my content, my relationships or my everyday life. I’m living for Him. Repentance taught me to let go of my own plans and trust in His will.
Passions and Dreams
I’ve always been a dreamer but now it’s time to execute. I’m passionate about connecting with others, growing in faith, and pursuing creative projects that glorify God. I’ve achieved so much, from earning a 100K YouTube plaque to landing major brand deals, but my focus now is to see what happens when I don’t give up. Each day is a new opportunity to ascend spiritually, personally and professionally. My name, Aliyah, which means "to ascend" and I’m committed to living up to it.

I created this website to share my story, inspire others and connect with my incredible community. Whether you’ve followed me from the start or are just discovering my journey, thank you for being here. Your messages and support mean everything to me, they’re the reason I keep going.
